The Ugly Baby Effect

This story is courtesy of Katie Palmer from The Soup:
A man is speaking to a large conference. He takes the stage and says to the audience,
“Put your hand up if you have ever seen an ugly baby.”
Almost everyone in the audience raises their hand. He continues,
“Now, put your hand up if you have an ugly baby.”
No one in the audience raises their hand.
The moral? People are less likely to think negatively of something when they have been actively involved in its evolution.

A woman gets on the bus with her baby and it is so ugly the driver says “you can’t come on here with that”. The lady is pissed, throws her fare at the driver and storms on to the bus and sits down.
She then turns to a bloke next to her and says “That driver was just so rude to me. I am bloody furious! I should go back and give him a piece of my mind.”
The man next to her says “Yeah go on, here, I’ll hold your monkey”
PS – I bet you were an ugly baby
